About ISNA

2010 Annual Conference Manila

The International School Nurses of Asia (ISNA) is an organization composed of school nurses throughout Asia working in an international school setting.

ISNA was formed in 2000 when a group of international school nurses recognized the need to meet and establish a communication network, shared knowledge, & participated in professional development activities.

Mission statement: “The International School Nurses of Asia is a non-profit organization of medical professionals who share ideas and support and build knowledge so as to provide optimal health services for children in the international school setting.”

A MESSAGE FROM ISNA CHAIRPERSON, LINDA SEE

Linda has been a school nurse at the International School of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for 9 years.  She was one of the original founders of ISNA in 2000.  Linda is originally from Iowa, USA, graduated from San Francisco State University & served 5 years as a captain in the US Army Signal Corps.  She received her nursing degree in 1993 and worked in critical care and home care nursing.  She moved to Malaysia in 1997 with her husband and two sons.

Linda believes that school nurses have a very important impact on the lives & futures of the students and families in the school community because we give them the knowledge and the tools to lead healthy, balanced lives.  Linda welcomes you to join us at our future ISNA Annual Conferences.
